KEA Refund and Cancellation Policy

Forfeiture and Refund of fee.- (1) The candidate who has been allotted a seat in any discipline under sub-rule (4) of rule 10 surrenders the seat before the last date notified for the commencement of the respective Spot Casual Vacancy Round, the Executive Director, shall deduct Rs. 5000/- as processing fee and refund the remaining fee paid. (2) The candidate who has been allotted a seat in any discipline under subrule (4) of rule 10 surrenders the seat after completion of respective Casual Vacancy Round, the Executive Director, shall forfeit the entire fee paid. (3) The candidate who surrenders the seat allotted as per sub-rule(7) of rule 10. i.e., in Casual Vacancy Round the Executive Director, shall forfeit the entire fee paid. (4) No surrender or cancelation of seat shall be accepted, unless the candidate surrenders the original admission order issued by the Karnataka Examinations Authority and the original Bank Challan. (5) If a candidate does not surrender or cancel or fail to join the allotted college even after the completion of the Casual Vacancy Round the Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority shall forfeit the entire fee amount paid by the candidates.1 KEA is not responsible for any double/ excess payments and Online payment failure / Auto-refunds. Please do not get in touch with Razorpay or associated Bank Please submit a ticket in the Candidate Portal if you have any questions about chargebacks Penalties — (1)Where a candidate, parent, guardian furnishes any incorrect information in the application form for Common Entrance Test or produces any documents, records such as incorrect marks cards, statement of marks, certificates, affidavit etc., or commits fraud of any kind or obtains allotment by making incorrect statements or commits forgery or impersonation or indulges in any malpractice or makes any statement which is not true, at the time of entrance test or the seat selection and obtains the admission ticket, any record, admission order or where candidate commits malpractice of any king in the qualifying examination, Common Entrance Test conducted by 1[Karnataka Examinations Authorityh or is beneficiary of any malpractice detected or noticed during the Common Entrance Test or the Seat Selection or subsequent to the issue of the Admission Order, the seat allotted to the candidate, if any, shall be liable to be forfeited along with the fees paid at any time during the period of candidate's study. The candidate may also be debarred from appearing for the Entrance Test for such period as deemed fit. (2) The candidate and his parent or guardian, as the case may be, shall alsobe liable for both civil and criminal action. The original documents submitted by he candidate may also be impounded. (3) Where the 1[Executive Directorh considers that the action should be taken under sub-rules (1) and (2), he shall pass orders in that regard after holding such enquiry as deems fit and after giving a reasonable opportunity to the candidate or parent or guardian to make representations, if any. Student is requested to pay only as adviced by Karnataka Examinations Authority. Student is responsible for any excess payment or duplicate payment made using Online platform or Offline downloaded challan. Payment return of excess fee or duplicate payment will be done only post reconciliation at Karnataka Examinations Authority. Raising charge back request for online payments or reversal request for payment made via NEFT /RTGS / FT / IMPS mode will not be entertained during the period of reconciliation. Any dispute in this regard to be submitted at Karnataka Examinations Authority by personally visiting the department.
